Could we please have Sauv Blanc instead of Chardonnay ?
We’d love to be able to offer Sauv Blanc but unfortunately Crown has it in a different beverage pricing range which would add considerably to the cost per head. For those who want it we have arranged for Sauv Blanc to be available by the glass for an extra charge.

Could we have some entertainment like the other year ?
We are working with a tight budget to ensure that the tickets prices are kept at an affordable level for everyone. With this in mind it does restrict us to the level of entertainment that we can provide however will look into this for the up and coming luncheons and will provide if the budget allows.

Could we have the drinks on the table instead of waiting to be
served which sometimes took a long time?
Unfortunately as it’s only a two course luncheon and in line with RSA (Responsible Serving of Alcohol) guidelines we have been told that we cannot have bottles on the tables. We have mentioned the need for serving staff to keep up with requests and will continue to make representation to the event caterers.

Can we have dessert or at least chocolates to go with the tea/coffee?
Having dessert would add a $12 surcharge to the current ticket pricing. We have found at recent functions that majority of the desserts are left at the tables so the need for this seems to be very minimal. If there is an overwhelming response to have this added then we will certainly look into it however at this point in time it appears that the vast majority would prefer no dessert and a better value ticket price.

The music was too loud towards the end when people wanted to talk and network.
We agree, the DJ got a bit carried away with the volume and we are reviewing whether to keep this part of the luncheon or not. If we do the volume will be kept down so people can still talk and hear.

The after party venue was good but lacked bar staff and hard to get a drink.
We know and we’ve mentioned this on more than one occasion and will continue to push for more bar staff – particularly in times of high demand when people first arrive at the after party venue.
Do we have to have sponsors, why can’t we just have the luncheon?
Sponsors are an integral part of Christmas TraveLeague - in fact if we didn’t have them we couldn’t put on the event at this cost!
It’s important that we all support and thank the sponsors who make it possible to hold this terrific industry luncheon.

Overwhelmingly people had a great time and the feedback we’ve received has been very generous. Most mentioned catching up with old friends and networking as the highlights and most important part of the luncheon and we agree!

Thank you all for your feedback. We do value and appreciate this as it allows us to work with you all to ensure a successful event. We are passionate about this event and will strive to improve it wherever possible, while at the same time keeping in mind the need to offer good value for money to all our industry colleagues.
